Going Above And Beyond

Taking An Injured Man’s Wheelchair Home

LAS VEGAS, NV: At about 10am, EMT Krista and Paramedic Sam observed an elderly male laying in the street.  He had fallen from his electric wheelchair and appeared to have broken his hip.  The victim refused to go to the hospital unless his wheelchair could be secured.  Krista and Sam were able to get the patient into the ambulance, however they were unable to take the wheelchair in the ambulance and unable to get ahold of any family members so they to drive the victim’s wheelchair to his house.

“It is these small acts of going above and beyond that our employees do every day” says Operations Chief Orvis Slack.  “We are here to take care of people and Krista and Sam’s actions show just how much they care.”
