November 15, 2017, the City of Las Vegas City Council voted to award Guardian Elite Medical Services an ambulance franchise to begin non-emergency ambulance transports within the City of Las Vegas. Per the agreement, Guardian Elite Medical Services will begin ambulance operations in the first quarter of 2018.
“This is an exciting time for us,” says Samuel Scheller, Chief Executive Officer of Guardian Elite Medical Services. “Growing from an event medical service to a transport ambulance service will allow us to better serve the citizens of the City if Las Vegas.”
Since 2011, Guardian Elite Medical Services has been providing special event medical coverage to many of Las Vegas’s signature events including First Friday, Life Is Beautiful, and the Consumer Electronics Show. In addition Guardian Elite Medical Services provides CPR, First Aid, and EMS training for thousands of people each year.
Currently Guardian Elite Medical Services has 4 ambulances, 2 quick response vehicles, a first aid trailer, and employs nearly 60 part time EMTs and Paramedics. Future plans include a fully integrated dispatch center, 3 more ambulances, and employment for nearly 25 full time EMTs, Paramedics, Dispatchers, and administrative staff.
“When I started this company in 2011, I never thought I would come this far,” said Scheller.
