Home For The Holidays

Home For The Holidays brings families closer together this holiday season by providing a safe mode of transportation for those individuals who may otherwise not be able to go home due to disabilities.  Guardian Elite Medical Services will provide no cost ambulance transportation to eligible parties to be with their families.

To qualify for Home For The Holidays, an individual must:

  • Reside in a rehabilitation center, nursing home, or skilled nursing facility inside the City of Las Vegas.
  • Have medical clearance to leave the facility.
  • Must not require constant medical care.
  • Drop off destination must be within 20 driving miles of the originating facility.
  • Family must be waiting to receive the transported individual.

Q: What is Home For The Holidays?

A: Home For The Holidays is no cost ambulance transportation for individuals who would otherwise not be able to go home this holiday season. Individuals will be transported up to 20 miles at no cost.

Q: What Dates/Times will this service be offered?

A: The Home For The Holidays program will run on December 24 and 25. All pickups from healthcare facilities must be done between 9:00am and 1:00pm. Return trips will be scheduled between 5:00pm and 10:00pm.

Q: How will individuals be transported home?

A: An ambulance will be sent to the originating facility with 2 EMTs. The individual being transported will be placed on an ambulance gurney and will be taken home by ambulance.

Q: How does someone qualify to be taken home?

A: Individuals being taken home this holiday must reside in a rehabilitation center, nursing home, or skilled nursing facility. The individual being transported home must be cleared from the medical facility to leave and must not require continuous medical care.

Q: Can personal belongings be transported home with the individual?

A: Due to limited space in the ambulance, it will be up to the ambulance crew if personal belongings can be taken home. Electric wheelchairs will not be allowed to accompany the individual home.

• Facility name and address of originating facility.
