On February 7, 2018, Guardian Elite Medical Services received a unanimous vote form the Nevada Commission on Post Secondary Education to begin Emergency Medical Technician training. The Nevada Commission Post Secondary Education (CPE) is the regulatory body that oversees private schools in Nevada. This was process that took almost 2 years of curriculum review and applications.
“This is an exciting time for us,” says Samuel Scheller, CEO of Guardian Elite Medical Services. “Having the ability to train EMTs will allow us to provide more EMTs to the community.”
According to Scheller, EMT training is scheduled to begin on April 1, 2018. Guardian Elite Medical Services will be taking on a different approach to EMT training. They will be using a hybrid model of education, in which students will attend lectures through the internet and come in for high energy, high engaging skills sessions. “It is our belief that EMTs should be ready to enter the workforce,” says Scheller. “We are going to train our EMT students to operate ambulances and be functional members of the pre hospital medical teams.”
